Economic development of 30 km2 in China

Picture1

Target is to economically develop 30 km2 of the Chinese Yangtze River Delta building a new airport city. Three main objectives were integrated in the master plan:

1. Create excellent conditions for the transportation of freight and people;
2. Use (and protect) the scenic natural areas (eco tourism) and the cultural heritage in nearby cities for Chinese domestic tourism;
3. Provide ample opportunities for strong economic growth such as commercial and cultural services.

Also, the fertile Yangtze River Delta enables the development of productive agricultural areas. The project is developed in close cooperation with Netherlands Airport Consultants (NACO), a company of Royal HaskoningDHV.
